13. SUBSEQUENT EVENTS On October 28, 2021, the Company’s Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.28 per share of common stock. The common stock dividend amount is the same as the prior quarter and an increase of $0.03, or 12.0%, from the dividend paid in the fourth quarter of 2020. The common stock dividend is payable on November 26, 2021 to common shareholders of record as of November 12, 2021. The Board also declared a quarterly dividend on the outstanding shares of its Series A preferred stock. The Series A preferred stock is represented by depositary shares, each representing a 1/400th ownership interest in a share of Series A preferred stock. The dividend of $171.88 per share (equivalent to $0.43 per outstanding depositary share) is consistent with the prior quarter. The preferred stock dividend is payable on December 1, 2021 to preferred shareholders of record as of November 16, 2021. |
