On June 29, 2004, Union Bankshares Corporation issued a press release announcing the authorization by its Board of Directors to purchased up to 150,000 shares of the Company’s common stock on the open market with such authorization expiring May 31, 2005. A copy of the company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.
